Jenny & Brian // Rock Springs Ranch // Bend, Oregon // September 2014
“Abby with ae creative is amazing at what she does! She designed our wedding invitation and it fit us both perfectly! She was available all of the time via phone or email to answer all of my many questions! The day of our wedding was remarkable from the decoration set-up to working with all of our other vendors. I believe that our wedding day went off with out any problems because we had ae to help guide us all! Thank you Abby!” – Jenny (bride)
I worked with Jenny & Brian throughout their whole wedding planning process from their invites, to favors to their wedding day coordination. Jenny’s favorite color is red and she wanted a bright wedding so she choose complementary blue and orange. Bringing all the details together it really was beautiful! Jenny & Brian weren’t picky about their invites and gave me a lot of creativity designing. To date, they are one of my favorite sets! They totally matched the theme and look and were fun – setting the tone for what guests could expect if they RSVP’d “HECK YES!” Their wedding took place at Rock Springs Ranch in Bend. A beautiful venue with on site lodging, in cabins – a major bonus for hosting a fun wedding and convenience for out of town guests. The venue provides a lot of tables and chairs already so that really cut down on rental costs. A good number of tables are also a nice wood so table cloths weren’t needed, we just used burlap table runners. Jenny’s son Tyler is super handy with wood working so once we planned the centerpieces we put him to work – cutting 70+ wood blocks at varying heights with large holes in them for tea-lights. These turned out great! We mixed in medicine bottles and small vases with little buds throughout as well as the wedding favors which were tin cans spray painted with succulents planted in them with matching tags that wrapped with a thank you. The tables really were simple and inexpensive but beautiful!
Jenny & Brian are beer lovers so they had three great beer choices to offer their guests! I custom made a marquee that said BAR to hang above the bar where the beer and wine was served – making it easy to find into the evening. They also rented my pint drinking mason jars that they tied “name tags” on for their guests to drink out of for the night. Their wedding cake was a bunch of mini cupcakes displayed on plates and two of my 3-tier cupcake stands. To keep guests from snacking early I placed a chalkboard on the table stating that guests can enjoy after Jenny & Brian do. This did the trick and kept hands off until after dinner! They also rented quite a few chalkboards which I hand wrote on for them and placed throughout the venue. I also sewed custom corn hole bags to match the color scheme! (Corn hole is always a hit at any event!)
Jenny & Brian’s wedding was so much fun to plan, decorate and attend! The dance party went well into the evening and for those lucky enough to be staying on site were able to enjoy sitting outside around a fire before heading to their cabins. I truly enjoyed every aspect and am so happy for Jenny & Brian. I wish you all the love & happiness. Thank you for trusting me with planning your special day!
