Emily & Chuck // House on Metolius // Sisters, Oregon // June 2015
Emily & Chuck’s wedding took place at a gem of a venue in Central Oregon, House on Metolius. It’s breathtaking views of Mt. Jefferson and location right on the Metolius river makes this venue seriously one to dream of. It also has onsite lodging in the house itself as well as onsite cabins for the wedding party, family and guests. Emily & Chuck’s wedding was just as beautiful as the venue. Their vision for their day came to life one step at a time as each layer from each vendor was put on. Emily was quite the DIY bride and made several tumbleweed chandeliers, gold animal menu card holders on lava rock and had the vision of her centerpieces which were an eclectic mix of glass hurricanes on a painted terra-cotta plate with moss, rocks and pinecones. Her mother had also collected several doilies that were used as the base layer down the tables. The table decor was finished off with beautiful natural flowers and candles.
Emily had ordered custom ‘papel picado’ Mexican banner flags that had their names and date as well as flags that read Amore that we strung over the dance floor intertwined with the lights. These were absolutely adorable and really added to the atmosphere and displayed some culture and their love for travel. Their ceremony was in a lush green grass field right on the Metolius River with a gorgeous view of Mt. Jefferson. It was intimate and special complete with a song performed by Chuck’s sister and Emily & Chuck’s dog as the ring bearer! (I love when the fur-kids are involved!)
Emily & Chuck rented several items from our inventory including the bar, bistro lights and dance floor table stands, mason jars, chalkboards + we wrote on them for them, window pane seating chart, suitcase, crates, medicine bottles and lawn games! It was a beautiful & quite warm June day. I wish them all the best wherever their travel and journey takes them!
