Lauren + Jordan // Mt. Pisgah // Eugene, Oregon // August 2015
“I can’t thank you enough for everything you did to make our wedding a success. We have repeatedly been told that our wedding was “the best ever” (I’m sure a lot of brides and grooms hear this after their wedding, but I think everyone who said that to us really meant it! 🙂 ) Thank you for going above and beyond on our big day. You are truly talented and I wish you great success.” – Lauren (bride)
Lauren & Jordan got married at one our our favorite venues in Eugene, Mt. Pisgah. It’s a beautiful location, just a hair outside of town, nestled in the trees. It’s a public park with a designated wedding area that provides great bones to create a custom look! Lauren originally contacted ae creative for day-of coordination. Then requested help with paper goods, favors, programs and rentals which we of course said yes to!
Lauren & Jordan love adventure and travel. While getting to know the couple, I learned they had traveled to 9 national parks together since meeting in 2011 and they got engaged at 13,000 feet in the Himalayas – how cool is that! Jordan loves rock climbing and dirt bike riding, which both, oddly enough had a part in the wedding. Lauren surprised him with a mountain groom’s cake, complete with real carabiners and Jordan wore mountain socks. The dirt bike came in with a special groom entrance to the ceremony which delighted, and I’m pretty sure scared just about all of the guests. This was kept as a surprise for all the guests, including the family members. It was the most creative groom entrance I’ve ever seen!
It’s so special to me when couples want to create a truly personalized event and incorporate details that are unique to them as a couple. Some of J+L’s touches were their guest book, with the suggestion from us, used a world atlas coffee table book for guests to sign on the pages. Jordan drinks rainier beer so that was his signature drink – Lauren’s was sparkling wine. So the wedding favors were custom pint and wine glasses with their wedding logo printed on them for guests to use throughout the night and to take home! Oh, and the wedding colors were inspired by Jordan’s beloved the Chicago Bears – blue and orange.
We absolutely loved being a part of this wedding and helping with all of the decor and setup. It was such a perfect day and after our job was done, came out with a new friend! We hope J+L never stop adventuring together and that Lauren remains as thoughtful as ever as she was with planning her wedding and making it special for everyone involved! Cheers to love and adventures!
