HELLO. THIS IS ABOUT Dayna
Hey there! I’m Dayna, an Arizona gal who has since fallen deeply, deeply in love with the PNW. I’m an absolute workaholic, but when I do pry myself away from the desk you can find me car-camping on the edge of a scenic lookout, or in the very back corner of a local thrift shop, squatting down to find the ‘good stuff’ way down on the bottom shelf. I have spent many years collecting treasures, both tangible and not so tangible. I am inspired by unique beauty around me, whether it be a stunning sunset caught from a lookout point, or a really beautiful glass vase found under an inch of dust back on isle 9. I want to capture it all and I’ll do just about anything to make sure I do!
My designing obsession started at a young age. Whether we’re talkin’ a locker to decorate (the highlight of my preteen years) or a theme I could change in my childhood bedroom (“animal print” is totally a theme), I was always brainstorming, scheming, and accidently burning myself with a hot glue gun. Along the way I, thankfully, had a set of supportive parents who gave platform to this obsession by building things with me out in the shop, letting me help decorate just about every room in their house, and having me set any and all tablescapes for the get togethers they’d host.
I moved away from home to attend school at Northern Arizona University, (probably only because I knew I’d get my own dorm room to decorate), and after a few years of Business school, chose a more creative path (go figure) and started to study Fashion Merchandising with a dual minor in Public Relations and Studio Arts. Other than my passion for making everything visually appealing, I also really love to connect with people and plan and execute events. (Tada! Enter the role of a Wedding Coordinator.) Even more-so drawing me towards this field, through college I worked as a consultant at a cosmetic apothecary where I would frequently do event and bridal makeup artistry. I got to hear love story after love story and knew this industry had a certain pull on me. Once graduating with my degree I moved to Scottsdale and took a job as a Bridal Consultant for a company that specialized in custom and couture gowns. This job was incredible and again, the wedding industry had a strong hold on me. Since moving to Bend I have taken on a lot of different roles, but in each position I have been able to wear the hats of visual merchandiser as well as event planner, which continually remain my favorites!
I can’t wait to hear what you have in mind and how we can help you execute the event of your dreams!
